Attention: Due to a road closure in the Taferna, the route has to be changed.
The start is at the forester's lodge below Schallberg. The route then more or less follows the marathon route up to the Simplon Pass. From the Simplon Pass, the route follows the usual route to Gondo.
Runners can take the free PostBus from Brig or Ried-Brig to Schallberg.
Brig: 07:18 a.m.
Ried-Brig, Rufigraben: 07.27 a.m.

Accompanying runners are asked to drive on the old Simplonstrasse from Ried-Brig to Schallberg so that there is no oncoming traffic to the runners of the double marathon at Schallberg. There is also space to park under the forester's lodge.
The start number distribution (and registration) is from 7.15 am in the forester's lodge below Schallberg. Race numbers can also be collected on Saturday afternoon in Ried-Brig.

The Gondo Plausch and the Gondo Running lead from Ried-Brig on the old Stockalperweg over the Simplonpass and through the Gondo Gorge to Gondo. The route measures 28 km and has 1400 m of ascent and descent. There is no ranking list for the Gondo Plausch, only an alphabetical list of finishers (with times). The Gondo Running is a "normal" competition with different age categories, rankings and prizes for the fastest. The Gondo Running counts towards the Upper Valais Running Cup and the Valais Mountain Running Cup.
